Inspiration
Inspired by the F1 theme and prompts given in the Data track.
What it does
The program pulls data from fastf1, either from live or past races, and presents it in an easy-to-digest format, showcasing various statistics for each driver, as well as an innovative 'driver rating' that is a unique overall numerical value assigned to drivers based on an analysis of their race. This is different from placement as it tracks how a team performed overall.
How we built it
Using flask, python, react, and VScode
Challenges we ran into
Not enough time in the event, figuring out how to pull lap-by-lap data, as well as configuring formulas for driver ratings
Accomplishments that we're proud of
unique driver rating
What we learned
How to utilize various coding tools to help build our project
What's next for RaceTracker
polishing and configuring for future races
