Check out our prototype on Figma
What it does
Race2Restore is a web-based DeFi car auction application that will let its users vote by contributing funds for cars that we restore. Any member can on everything from the car itself, what class of car it becomes, its color, and the parts we use to restore it.
In later Rounds, users can mint their combinations of choices as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) which can be later burned towards the final purchase of the restored vehicle.
How we built it
A web-based application using React for the front-end and Django + MySQL for the back-end (separate repo).
Challenges we ran into
Creating the content for each Round and how to make it as easy to use for both car experts and novices.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Taking the project from a concept to a working prototype in Figma and working GitHub repositories
What we learned
How to mint on the Rarible protocol (https://ropsten.rarible.com/token/0xB0EA149212Eb707a1E5FC1D2d3fD318a8d94cf05:106124913[…]42265135141833367690973383314684153082811514881?tab=details) Learned the concept of combinatorial NFTs
What's next for Race2Restore
Keep updating until it is a working minimal viable product (MVP) and start submitting cars for people to auction and burn their NFTs on! Help out by contributing rETH (https://faucet.dimensions.network/) to the R2R wallet to help fund the first test accounts: 0xEAA0927BA6057178bEe2ADe0f5C21A2158122c39
