Inspiration

It's hard to make friends in such a massive college. We hope this could connect people who are more likely to be compatible.

What it does

The website takes user data through a series of questions and pairs them with someone most like them.

How we built it

Research and dedication with React, Node.js, Firebase, Vite, Express, and Github.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting the backend (MongoDB for the database) with the frontend (based in React). We are new to both technologies and could not link the two efficiently.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We learned some concepts about full-stack and other libraries that could be helpful for us in the future. We also developed a website interface, which we have never done before.

What we learned

We learned key collaboration skills through Github, which we have never had much experience with so far in our introductory CS classes.

What's next for R U Friends

We want to incorporate schedules as one of the user inputs that will be used for matching. We would also like to improve the methods used to take user inputs for more efficient and accessible data. We also look to improve the front end general design.
