Inspiration
Our project was inspired by the popular mascot, Lofi Girl, and the relaxing atmosphere that the youtube channel provides.
What it does
R'elax increases productivity by providing a to-do list and a timer to help users keep track of tasks. In addition, they can play ambient music to create a study-like environment similar to Lofi Girl.
How we built it
We used HTML to create a structure for the web page and then stylized the designs with CSS. For more complex tasks, our team utilized Javascript to implement functions such as adding tasks to the to-do list and then removing the items from the list.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges we ran into was learning how to coordinate one another for the first time, as we have only began learning how to work together slowly as class, and the change in environment such as a hackathon was a real challenge. Additionally, our repo is super sloppy as we cowboy coding without branches and testing nor a game plan beforehand. This made our work environment super uncoordinated and sometimes difficult to work around.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The accomplishments that we are proud of was learning how to code with javascript of the first time, and learning many new experiences with web development (html, css, javascript).
What we learned
We learned that 12 hours is definitely an understated about time to work with as we initinally thought that would be plenty, but not realizing the road blocks we encountered, the time did run out super fast.
What's next for R'elax
After working with R'elax with the many new experiences that we accomplished this will be the starting point of many more projects to be made, in which we can look back to R'elax to learn from.
