Inspiration
We wanted to challenge our expectations for what we could do and build a robot that uses several microcontrollers and uses the cloud.
What it does
This robot can track information.
How we built it
We used an arduino and raspberry pi to gather information and control motors and send that information to a webapp in the cloud.
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult to use Google Cloud as well as to integrate the raspberry pi.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We got Google Cloud to host our web server, as well as use the raspberry pi and arduino together, which we have never done before.
What we learned
We learned about interfacing arduinos with raspberry pis, using sensors, and about Google Cloud.
What's next for R'Car
By using more resilient materials and integrating vision integration our robot could be used to scout dangerous areas.
