Scope: The R+ Analytics strategy for risk mitigation amidst the COVID-19 outbreak is Reflective, Recognizable, Reportable and Responsive, it involves

  1. Designing Solution Deployment
  2. Baselining best practices in Healthcare
  3. Bridging Quality in ICU(s), CCU(s)
  4. Improving the agility of Emergency Response Networks
  5. Functioning via Companion Health Cards and R+ Health Desks
  6. Incorporating a Veritable and Safe Healthcare Model

Challenges I ran into

  1. Social Accountability is difficult to incorporate unless norms and practices help
  2. Today Systemic Synergy is incidence or emergence based and does not always add R+ Conformity and Capacity Building to help healthcare providers scale up or improve Quality of Service (QoS)

What it does

It develops Systemic Innovation for Bridging Quality in Healthcare and adding sense & respond mechanisms for Health Card based Bio-informatics and other health influencers

How I built it

As I do have a framework for implementing norms and practices for Hospitals Diagnostic Centres, Druggists and Pharmaceutical networks, I added a Systemic Socially Accountable Synergy (SSAS) function to this to act for the current risk and hazard that we are facing

What I learned

Essential integration of data is important for governments or interested parties to educate or provide people with veritable healthcare

  1. It can promote rational consultation and/or drug use
  2. It can enable or improve development of standard protocols and rational prescribing policies
  3. It can enable or augment unbiased clinical information on drug dosages, usage, contra indicators and adverse side effects
  4. It can trend ADR (Adverse Drug Reaction) monitoring for drugs/medicines/immunizations/transcribed medication

A. Medication errors affect a. Healthcare professionals prescribing or transcribing them b. Pharmaceutical companies producing/reusing formulations of drugs/medicines/immunizations c. Insurance companies protecting people

B. Causes for medication errors

  1. Increased or non-regularized use of not recommended antimicrobials
  2. Wrong medicine / Wrong dosage for consumer group
  3. Look alike or Sound alike names of drugs
  4. Could be missed use of lettered/numbered prefixes & suffixes in medicine names
  5. Improper labelling
  6. Lack of knowledge or limited availability of any Bio-informatics data
  7. Performance inconsistency or some adverseness
  8. Improper transcription or recommended by untrained parties (where guidelines will constrain this though the use of Over the counter drugs and related use of prescriptions are common today)
  9. Violation of policies and procedures
  10. Inadequate “professional staff/specialists/trained staff/required healthcare settings like good lighting, effective sound control, work setting to promote rational drug use”
  11. No inference available for poly-therapy, long term pharmacotherapy, narrow therapeutic window, Afflicted community appropriateness and inappropriate combination of drugs/medicines being prescribed or transcribed
  12. It can help determine investment (like selecting, ordering, prescribing / transcribing) & help improved ease of storage, distribution and dispensing

All of the above have an effect on registered controls such as

  • Morbidity and Mortality
  • Harm
  • Experience of drug resistance
  • Psychological impact
  • Socio-environmental impact

All of can be controlled by a Rational use of consultation norms and/or prescribing of drugs that infers for

  • Appropriate patient information
  • Appropriate patient evaluation
  • Appropriate patient classification
  • Appropriate patient’s Bio-informatics indicator management
  • Appropriate costs for patient in terms of pricing and timely administration
