Inspiration
This topic was included as a challenge in MLH Global Hack Week - API and i wanted to build something using a API, so i chose Quotify as my first project.
What it does
Using quotify users can search for quotes based on Category and No. of quotes they want.
How i built it
I built it using the "Learn By Doing" approach because i only knew some basic HTML and CSS. Under this approach, i started building Quotify and i was learning along with building. I also used google to search for how to do a particular stuff. It took me a total of 4 hours to build Quotify from scratch. I have used Quotes API - by API Ninjas.
Challenges i ran into
I also faced some challenges while coding JavaScript since I had no prior knowledge of it. However, I used google for learning the required stuff like Getting an element by ID or Class, For loop, EventListeners etc.
Accomplishments that i am proud of
I am proud of this project because it is my first web application, and I had not built or deployed any project before this.
What i learned
I learned many topics like GetElementById or class, EventListeners, For loop, making a request to an API etc. Overall, this project helped me improve my web development skills.
