💡 Inspiration We’ve all experienced the pain of trying to get a service quote — filling out forms, waiting for callbacks, or playing phone tag with multiple vendors. It’s slow, frustrating, and inefficient. That sparked the idea: what if AI could handle all that — instantly, over the phone? With advancements in voice AI, we realized we could turn the quoting process into a seamless, real-time conversation. That’s how Quotemate AI was born.

⚙ What it does Quotemate AI connects customers with service providers through instant AI-powered phone calls. Customers browse agencies, choose a service, and enter their phone number. The platform then initiates a call via an AI voice agent, which provides real-time quotes and negotiates prices — using each agency’s custom pricing rules and negotiation limits. Agencies get leads, closed deals, and insights, all without lifting a finger.

🛠 How we built it We built the platform using Bolt, a no-code tool that let us rapidly prototype and deploy the user-facing frontend without writing traditional frontend code. This allowed for fast iteration and polished UI flows.

For the AI phone calls, we used Bland.AI’s and ElevenLab's API to trigger outbound calls. We dynamically generated prompts based on agency info (services, pricing, negotiation range), so the AI could hold smart, customized conversations with customers and lock in deals.

All data (agency profiles, call details, lead info) was stored using localStorage for the demo.

🧱 Challenges we ran into Voice prompt tuning: Getting the AI to speak naturally and persuasively during calls took a lot of prompt engineering and testing.

Call flow reliability: Ensuring the calls triggered correctly and that users received them promptly was a challenge, especially across different regions.

UX balance: Designing for two user types — customers and agencies — required thoughtful flow mapping to keep things intuitive and frictionless.
