Inspiration
With the emergence of Covid 19, the whole world is trying to embrace working and learning remotely. This being a challenge for the educational system led me to begin this project. To make it easier for organizations to host quizzes for their students anytime anywhere.
What it does
Quizzer lets you host a quiz remotely by creating a quiz and sharing a hosting link to all desired participants. When they join you can start the quiz remotely with a time limit and monitor their scores live. The app also offers question generation and is a marketplace for sharing quizzes.
How I built it
It was built from ground up with Google's flutter framework for frontend and firebase for the backend.
Challenges I ran into
Flutter Google's framework is relatively new. So there isn't package support for all functionality, so building some parts of this software natively posed a challenge to the whole development process.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Being self taught and in an environment where developers are not so many, building something which is the first of its kind is a milestone I really feel proud of accomplishing.
What I learned
I have learnt that any thing dreamable is achievable with a bit of work.
What's next for Quizzer
My next step would love to expand this software to more platforms and make it easier and more accessible to use.
