Inspiration

I am a enthusiast in computer and their historical development. Also the creation of new software is a big part of my interest and life. So I wanted to let users know what kind of very important milestones were in the past which we use very often today and we only see it as a matter of course.

What it does

When you open the Skill you have the possibility to ask for a fact about the computer history. Later there should be other options as extra there.

How I built it

I build it with the Alexa APL(for graphical), the Node.js(for backend) and the AWS-Lambda(for hosting).

Challenges I ran into

  • learning and understanding the new Amazon APL (Alexa Presentation Language)

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

  • having a working displayinteraction
  • having a good view of the layout

  • how to use the APL for AlexaSkills

What's next for Computer-Expert

  • add a quiz
  • add optional length of a Quizgame
  • let the user see the list and manual select an item to get more information
