Inspiration

I was inspired by my own struggles studying for tests. One night, while preparing for a big history quiz, I realized how hard it was to guess what might be on the test. I wished there was a tool that could make practice quizzes from my notes—so I decided to build one! That’s how Quizify was born. I wanted to help other students like me study in a fun and smart way.

What it does

Quizify is a website that lets you make and take fun quizzes without needing to sign up. You can type in a topic or upload a study PDF, and it will create questions for you to practice. It’s super easy to use, gives you your score right away, and helps you learn better!

How I built it

I built it using Replit, an AI-powered website development tool. I told it what I wanted, gave it commands, and it helped me write the code for the website. I also tested different ideas and improved them until Quizify worked the way I imagined. Code posted to Github - https://github.com/eva-bhatia/quizgen_app/tree/main

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges I faced were making sure the quiz questions made sense and making the website work with different kinds of documents. I also had to learn how to make the site look nice and be easy to use, even for people who aren’t very tech-savvy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m really proud that I created a working tool that helps other students and teachers. It feels great to have built something real that people can use to learn better. I’m also proud that Quizify doesn’t require an account, which means it can be used by anyone—even in places where internet access is limited or accounts aren’t easy to set up.

What we learned

I learned a lot about how websites work and how to talk to AI to build something useful. I also learned how important it is to keep testing and improving your ideas, and how to make things easy for others to use.

What's next for Quizify

Currently, Quizify supports PDF document uploads. We plan to add support for more image formats in the future like PNG and JPEG. I also plan on adding a mobile application so students can study on the go, and maybe even a multiplayer quiz mode for study groups!
