Inspiration

Quiz Pulse began with one simple idea: quizzes should feel exciting, interactive, and connected—not like traditional tests.

Teachers often need separate tools to create quizzes, host live games, review results, manage students, and communicate. We wanted to bring all of that into one platform that makes learning easier for teachers and more engaging for students.

What it does

Quiz Pulse is an interactive learning and assessment platform built around an engaging Classic Mode experience.

Teachers can create quizzes using 10 question types, including multiple choice, polls, matching, ordering, typed answers, and image-hotspot questions.

Students join with a game PIN, answer live questions, view results and rankings, and finish with an animated podium.

Quiz Pulse also includes Team Mode, where students suggest answers and work together before a team leader submits the final response.

The platform also offers statistics, rewards, profiles, academic groups, messaging, moderation, security tools, and a responsive mobile view.

How we built it

Quiz Pulse was built with GPT-5.6 and Codex.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was keeping live games synchronized between the host and multiple players.

Supporting 10 question types also required different layouts, controls, validation rules, and scoring systems.

Team Mode added more complexity because every member can suggest an answer, while only the leader submits the final response.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that Quiz Pulse became a complete, working platform with smooth Classic Mode gameplay, 10 question types, Team Mode, rewards, communication, and classroom-management tools.

What we learned

We learned that educational software must be exciting, but also reliable, clear, fair, and easy to use.

We gained experience with real-time systems, scoring logic, permissions, responsive design, and AI-assisted development.

What's next for Quiz Pulse

Next, we plan to improve teacher analytics, accessibility, customization, and quiz creation.

We also want to add AI-assisted question generation, personalized learning recommendations, and integrations with classroom platforms.
