Quiz Down is an educational software that tries to make studying more enjoyable by allowing users to put their wits to the test.

💡 Inspiration

I want to build a quiz application through which people can play quiz and have fun. And mostly quiz apps don't have many genres. So to break this limitation I build Quiz-Down. It has numerous genres like anime, manga.

❓ What it does

*It encourages users to take brief pauses and immerse themselves in an ocean of information and trivia to learn new things in an interactive manner about themes that interest them. Quiz Down makes use of the Open Trivia API, which has a seemingly endless number of questions spanning from general knowledge to anime and manga.

*The ability to adjust the level of the questions creates a more personalized and challenging experience. Quiz Down may be used by anyone who wants to improve their knowledge and discover new topics. It features a straightforward and user-friendly design.

🔨 How we built it

I have used Kotlin to build this android application. And I have used Open Trivia API for quiz question generation

🏃‍♂️ Challenges we ran into

*We upgraded from an older version of Gradle and ran into difficulties with the obsolete code we were utilizing.

*We had figured out how to use the build script SDK to start executing a basic layout so that we could continue working on the project.

*We had to appropriate convert to the new AndroidX libraries wherever needed.

*Multiple activities were causing error, when switching between, and we had to add intent filters.

*We only had experience with Linear and Relative Layout, so understanding the Constraint Layout and adapting it to meet our needs was a challenge.

🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud on myself that I complete this project within time limit.

📚 What we learned

I learned how to make an android application using Kotlin. I also learned how to use Open Trivia API.

In the future, we would like to add more genre for quizzes and add our application to google play store so that people can download it and us it.
