Inspiration

QuietRoute came from a simple realization: most navigation apps optimize only for speed, but speed isn’t always what people need. For many people, especially those who experience anxiety, sensory overload, or cognitive fatigue, the “fastest” route can actually be the most stressful. We wanted to explore what navigation would look like if it prioritized comfort and accessibility instead of just time.

We were inspired by the idea that accessibility isn’t limited to physical mobility. Cognitive load, noise, and complexity all affect how people experience a city, yet they’re rarely considered in everyday tools.
