Inspiration
We started ¡Quiero Almorzar! with the intention to modernize an old and rustic system of registering the school's daily lunchroom assistance into a new and modern web app. This system used to be based on papers, which involved a lot of paper, ink, time, and the information wasn't as reliable.
What it does
¡Quiero Almorzar! provides teachers and school staff easy access to the lunchroom's daily menu, and allows them to quickly register the amount of students that are going to eat at the lunchroom that day. The system provides lunchroom staff real-time data, including daily, weekly, and monthly assistance reports using PowerBI.
How we built it
Our web app is based on the ASP.NET Model View Controller Framework, incorporating the technologies of C#, HTML, Javascript and Bootstrap. It's hosted, along with it's database, on Microsoft Azure.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
¡Quiero Almorzar! is currently running daily at our school, providing a more efficient way of registering the lunchroom's daily assistance to all of our school community.
