Inspiration

This application is inspired by the creator's tendency to rush around stores to find items in her mind. But on a serious note, it is mostly inspired by situations where there is time constraint due to hectic schedules or where the person is physically tired to spend even more (if they have any) energy to check the store for something they need/want.

What it does

QUICKPACE allows users to be able to search and navigate through a store that they are currently at (in a mall) to get to their needs or wants as quickly as possible, hence spending less energy and time in searching through different aisles one by one. The application also helps users know what was the top searched item in that store (acting as a recommendation system), plus the application keeps track of the user's search history for the store that they are currently visiting.

How we built it

The project is built with Figma, while its documents include a word file and a slideshow.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge that I have faced while participating in this Ideathon would be the time management of it. Since my classes have already begun and assignments are beginning to pile up, the Ideathon's short, yet sufficient timeframe has made me worried about being able to complete the requirements and meet my expectations of doing this project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Speaking of challenges, I would like to say that the short timeframe of the competition -although has made me anxious on the project execution- has helped me to improve on my time management skills, as time management is a skill that I am sure lacking of. Hence, being able to meet my expectations and submit the project on time is an accomplishment that I am proud of.

What we learned

Through Figma, I have learnt many new skills and tricks in designing a nice, pretty wireframe/prototype.

What's next for QUICKPACE - Item Directory Application

As QUICKPACE is an item directory application made specifically to cater to mall customers, the next step in mind for QUICKPACE would be to add a new feature where users are able to collect points (loyalty system) from using the application.
