Inspiration :

Managing money is often stressful, boring, and confusing. Students overspend, freelancers lose track of invoices, and shopkeepers struggle with ledgers. We wanted to solve this with a tool that feels simple, fun, and personalized—a financial buddy that motivates people to save and spend wisely.

What it does ?

Quickfin is an AI-powered personal finance manager that helps users: Track expenses automatically (via SMS/UPI, receipts, or voice). Get smart insights with AI (spending patterns, saving suggestions). Stay motivated with gamified features like streaks, badges, and savings challenges. Use customized modes for students, families, freelancers, and shopkeepers.

How we built it ?

Frontend: React & Streamlit for a clean, interactive UI. Backend: Flask APIs with PostgreSQL/Firebase for secure data storage. AI/ML: Predictive analysis using Python + OpenAI API. APIs: Google Vision API for receipt scanning, UPI/SMS parsing for transactions. Hosting: AWS/GCP cloud deployment.

Challenges?

we ran into Designing features flexible enough to fit very different user groups. Keeping the app simple and fun without overwhelming users. Ensuring accuracy and security in expense auto-tracking.

## Accomplishments that we're proud of : Built a cross-platform prototype that works smoothly on web and mobile. Created a gamified finance tracker that users actually enjoy using. Integrated AI-driven insights that make financial advice feel personal.

What we learned :

The power of gamification in driving financial habits. Handling data privacy & encryption in financial apps. Balancing design, performance, and functionality for multiple user types.

What's next for Quickfin ?

Add multi-language support for wider accessibility. Expand AI coaching into a conversational financial assistant. Partner with UPI/payment providers for deeper integration. Launch on Play Store & App Store after polishing the MVP.
