QuickConsult

Inspiration

Our inspiration for the QuickConsult project came from the increasing need for efficient and accessible healthcare services, especially during times when in-person consultations might not be feasible or safe. We recognized the potential of telemedicine to bridge the gap between patients and doctors, making healthcare more convenient and accessible for everyone.

What it does

QuickConsult is an innovative platform designed to connect patients and doctors for seamless online consultations. Its main feature is the ability to provide doctors with a summarised text of the patient's initial remark on how they feel before the online meeting. This summarisation helps doctors quickly grasp the patient's primary concerns, symptoms, and medical history, allowing them to prepare better for the consultation without having to read through lengthy descriptions.

The platform streamlines the process of booking and scheduling appointments, making it easier for patients to find suitable time slots for consultations with their preferred doctors. QuickConsult also facilitates secure communication between patients and doctors, ensuring that sensitive medical information remains confidential and private.

How we built it

Our designs were built with figma and our webapp was built with ASP.NET WebApp. We used MySQL as our database provider.

Challenges we ran into

Finishing the project in time ! Though the scope of the project wasn't that big, our time management led to the incomplete state of the project :(

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Setting up nginx.conf to have the domain names point to our app
• Finishing the figma design under 5 hours
• Surviving the weekend

What we learned

• We should really manage our time properly lOL

What's next for QuickConsult

When we have free time we will continue working on the project to get the MVP up and running. We see opportunities in building our own summarisation model (specifically for healthcare) and think that the project is worthwhile in general. It is unfortunate that we couldn't finish in time, however we are excited to see it work in the near future!
