Inspiration

Our main inspiration was through participating in a hackathon, with a large community of liked-minded programmers creating apps, and feeling part of a community. In terms of our ideas, we thought of it in the spur of the moment, as it was a project attainable to create in a matter of a couple days.

What it does

This app allows people to sign in to an account, where they could chat with other users built on an authentication system.

How we built it

First, we used Unity C#, a game engine to create our chat app. We also used some pre-made animations from the asset store to create our app.

Challenges we ran into

The main issue our team ran into was the process of using Github. We faced numerous merge conflicts, and also, it took us a long time to figure out how to share the project with one another to collaborate on Github.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building an authentication system, and also having that data stored in the database is something our team is proud of.

What we learned

We learned how to use Github more effectively as a result of working in teams, creating a wonderful app that people can use.

What's next for Quick Text chat App

We might implement more features, including having the user be able to share files, pictures, groups for other people to join, and a marketplace similar to Facebook.
