Inspiration

Millions of students in India need quick ways to earn small amounts daily, while local businesses constantly need short-term helpers. Yet no platform connects them instantly. We wanted to create a system where youth earn fast, and businesses find help fast.

What it does

QuickGig is a platform that connects youth with 1–3 hour micro-jobs posted by nearby businesses. Workers find quick tasks → complete them → get instant payment. Businesses post a gig → select a worker → get the task done quickly.

How we built it

We have made this by us We built QuickGig as a simple, fast, location-based app using: -->React Native for the app -->Node.js + Firebase for the backend -->Google Maps for nearby gigs -->Razorpay/UPI for instant payments -->Role-based access ensures workers and vendors see different dashboards.

Challenges we ran into

-->Ensuring trust between workers and vendors -->Handling real-time gig updates -->Making location accuracy work well in low-signal areas
