Inspiration The idea came from seeing how stressful and confusing it can be when someone needs an ambulance quickly. Many people panic and don’t know how to get help fast, especially in crowded cities or remote areas. We wanted to make emergency help easier and quicker for everyone.
What it does Quick Care Ambulance is an app that lets people request an ambulance instantly during emergencies. It finds the nearest available ambulance, shows its live location, and keeps you updated until help arrives. The app also helps you communicate with ambulance staff, so you feel supported and informed.
How we built it We built a simple web app using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend. For the backend, we used Python with Flask to handle requests and connect users with nearby ambulances. We experimented with location tracking APIs and real-time updates so users can see where their ambulance is.
Challenges we ran into Figuring out how to show accurate ambulance locations in real time was tough.
Making the app easy enough for everyone, even during stressful situations, required lots of testing and redesign.
We didn’t have access to actual ambulance fleets for testing, so we used simulation data.
Accomplishments that we're proud of Designing a user-friendly interface that makes requesting help simple.
Getting real-time location updates to work in our tests.
Creating a project that could really help people in emergencies.
What we learned How important clear design is, especially for emergency apps.
Basics of using map and tracking APIs.
Teamwork and communication skills when building something for real-world problems.
What’s next for Quick Care + We want to connect with local ambulance services to test the app for real. We also plan to add features like medical history storage, multi-language support, and maybe even a chatbot for extra help during emergencies. Our goal is to make Quick Care Ambulance trusted and helpful for everyone.
