What inspired you

QueueWise was inspired by a simple problem: long waiting times can make even the simplest experiences frustrating. Whether at events, universities, or service centers, poor queue management can waste time and create unnecessary congestion.

What it does

QueueWise aims to make queue management smarter by tracking the number of people waiting, estimating waiting times, and suggesting ways to distribute visitors more efficiently.

How we built it

We started by identifying a common problem: long waiting times and inefficient queues. We designed QueueWise as a simple web-based solution focused on tracking queue lengths, estimating waiting times, and helping staff manage visitors more efficiently. We approached the project step by step, prioritizing essential features to keep the solution practical and easy to use.

Challenges we ran into

One of my main challenges is deciding how to build a useful product with limited coding experience and time. My approach is to start with the essential features, test the core functionality, and improve the project step by step.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of turning an everyday operational problem into a practical project idea with the potential to improve service efficiency. QueueWise also gave us an opportunity to apply industrial engineering concepts to a real-world challenge while exploring technology as a tool for smarter decision-making.

What we learned

I am developing this project independently as a beginner, which makes it an opportunity to learn by building something practical. Throughout the process, I aim to strengthen my skills in web development, problem-solving, and turning operational challenges into simple digital solutions.

What's next for QueueWise

With QueueWise, my goal is to demonstrate how a simple, data-driven solution can make waiting less frustrating and service more efficient.
