Queuely UI flow
An office space with many employees and few restrooms means people would have to queue for using restrooms. It can be uncomfortable and a waste of time to wait there and keep checking for a free restroom. We wanted to solve this problem by creating an easy-to-use queue management system that can be applied in not only this scenario, but in many cases, such as queueing for shared meeting rooms, desk hubs, shared equipment, and more.
What it does
It uses indoor geolocation to check users in and out with the help of Estimote Bluetooth Low Energy transmitter beacons
How we built it
iOS app with Swift
Estimote beacon SDK
Challenges we ran into
Estimote beacon was previously claimed by another user and it took us a while to transfer permissions and start working on it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Good teamwork, good branding, good idea, focused work during a productive weekend
What we learned
Hackathons are cool.
What's next for Queuely
We would continue enhancing the app, bring Android support, visualize analytics on app and on a web application, allow multiple queueing systems.
