QueueLess

Inspiration

QueueLess was inspired by a common experience at barbershops: customers often don't know how long they'll have to wait before they arrive. That uncertainty wastes time and can cause them to leave without getting a haircut.

What it does

QueueLess is an idea for a live queue platform where barbershops display their current waiting time, available barbers, prices, and ratings. Customers can compare nearby shops and choose the one that best fits their schedule.

How we built it

QueueLess is currently at the idea stage. We focused on identifying the problem, thinking through how a live queue system would work, and planning how it could create value for both customers and barbershops.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was figuring out how waiting times could stay accurate as customers arrive and haircuts take different amounts of time. We also had to think about making the system simple enough for barbershops to use.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of identifying a real everyday problem and developing an idea that could save customers time while helping barbershops attract more business.

What we learned

We learned that many successful businesses start by solving a simple, everyday problem. We also learned the importance of thinking through how an idea would work before building it.

What's next for Untitled

We plan to design and build the first version of QueueLess, partner with local barbershops for real-world testing, and improve the app based on customer feedback. Once proven successful, we'll expand beyond barbershops to salons, clinics, and other businesses where long waiting times are common.
