Issues with social distancing in cities and regions

  1. Too many people go to the same place
People do not know how busy it is at the place they are going to, there is a lack of information.

  2. The number of people inside buildings needs to be limited
In order to practice social distancing the number of people inside a building should be monitored and controlled.

  3. Queues at the entrance of buildings
By limiting the number of people inside, waiting lines form at the entrance which increase the risk of infection

Our solution: QueueForMe, the smart way of waiting

QueueForMe is a crowd management which addresses the issues with social distancing

  1. Provide information on crowds
Queue for me gives insight into how busy places are in your area on a map, which allows people to go to less busy places. It does this by showing how much of the capacity of a place is used and how long the waiting line is.

  2. Capacity control
The store staff can keep track of people entering and leaving with a single click on a digital device (phone, tablet, laptop)

  3. Queue management
Customers can register into a digital waiting queue and will be notified when it is their turn. So, there will be no physical waiting line.

What does QueueForMe do during the Corona Crisis?

Queue for me can facilitate social distancing and re-opening of for example shops, restaurants, leisure parks, museums or any other location that could have / has a waiting line.

Benefits

For cities / regions

  • Spreads people by re-directing people to less busy places
  • Prevents the forming of physical queues
  • The amount of people in the store is visible and controlled
  • Insight into crowds for policy making

For stores

  • The possibility to re-open while still practicing social distancing
  • Customer experience, keep clients happy and safe
  • Enables capacity planning
  • Less stress for employees

For Users

  • Help with deciding where to go based on waiting time
  • A safe and comfortable experience as there is no physical queue where they have to wait

The necessities in order to continue the project

We need a pilot project with one region in order to prove that our system can effectively:

  • Promote social distancing
  • Assist shops in their re-opening
  • Help for citizen satisfaction

Our product would need some fine-tuning in order to incorporate the new corona virus features. This would need 10 days of development. With installation and configuration, we would need roughly two weeks to go live if given the chance by a municipality or region.

The value of our solution after the crisis

Waiting in line has never created added value, to the contrary, every time a person is stuck in a queue this person loses time and the opportunity to undertake an activity which creates additional value to the society.

Especially in touristic areas offering a global service for all attractions would be a solid asset for a region giving the guarantee that visitors no longer wait in line and thus can enjoy more activities or could be used to reduce over-tourism.
