Inspiration
We noticed that outpatient clinics often have unpredictable queues. Patients may arrive early and wait for long periods because they cannot see the live queue or know when they will actually be called. We created QueueFlow to solve this problem by providing live queue updates, dynamic ETAs, recommended arrival times, and smart queue management.
How We Built It
QueueFlow uses React and Tailwind for the frontend, Node.js and Express for the backend, and MySQL/MongoDB for data management. Real-time updates are supported using WebSockets/Socket.IO.
Challenges & Learning
Our main challenge was designing a system that can adapt to changing queues, delays, and doctor availability. Through this project, we learned how to design a real-world solution around dynamic data and user needs.
Future Scope
We plan to add predictive analytics, no-show prediction, automated alerts, queue optimisation, and clinic availability features.
