The motivation for this project was a personal pain point – having to wait for multiple hours at the emergency room and not knowing how long it will take. I had cases were I waited for more then 8 hours, two times a row.

What it does

QueueConvenient lets you easily check in to hospitals. Whether you want to do it from home, on the go or directly on site. Our system asks you a few general questions about your incident, puts you in a priority queue and gives you predictions about the estimated waiting time. This is achieved through machine learning and allows the system to constantly evolve and improve.

Some of the benefits: – more relaxed nurses – lots of saved time – no nerve wracking waiting at the counter with fever – see if a hospital is already out of capacity

How we built it

The app is built in Xcode with Swift. Our backend uses nodejs, serverless stack, lambda, dynamo db and amazon machine learning.

We think we build a pretty cool app with a very small team and in a short amount of time.
