Inspiration
As a student, I noticed how traditional quizzes often don’t adapt to individual needs. Inspired by platforms like Blooket and adaptive learning tools, I wanted to create something fun, personalized, and insightful for both students and instructors.
What I Learned I explored how AI can generate adaptive quizzes in real time, how to design engaging game-like experiences, and how to structure backend workflows to track progress and generate instructor reports.
How I Built It I developed QuestQuiz as an AI-powered platform where instructors upload daily materials. The system generates a first quiz, adapts follow-ups based on weaknesses, and produces progress reports. On the frontend, I used gamified themes to keep it interactive, while the backend handles adaptive logic, AI question generation, and analytics.
Challenges Building this solo was a challenge! I had to juggle frontend design, backend logic, and AI integration all at once. Another hurdle was balancing the “fun” gamified aspect with serious assessment. Making reports both clear for instructors and motivating for students also required iteration.
Outcome QuestQuiz shows how assessment can be transformed into an engaging, adaptive, game-like experience making learning personalized and fun while giving instructors real insights.on
