About QuestList

QuestList is a gamified productivity app, allowing you to gamify your life and gain motivation!

Story

As a heavy productivity apps user, it was my dream to build a productivity app that suits my needs. However, as I taught myself SwiftUI and building my first app, I got anxious that no one would use my app. I imagined the app would never stand out in a sea of productivity apps, and even thought of giving up and just stop making apps entirely.

But, thanks to comments and encouragements from Reddit, I was able to take a step back and reflect. After a short break, I rewrote the whole app from scratch, designed a custom UI to make it stand out, and added gamification elements to make the app more engaging and unique.

As Shipaton starts, I shipped the app as soon as possible. After sharing the app on reddit, I received many unexpected compliments on my UI design. I was really surprised because I never thought it would succeed.

The valuable lessons are: Don't give up! And don't try to do everything alone! You can't build a good app without feedback and encouragements from others.
