Inspiration
I have this desire to build this application from almost an year, ever since I watched the anime called "Solo Leveling", the player just levels up and I always want a similar system for myself, so my idea is to build that for me and for everyone who wants a system like that.
What it does
It is Todo list at core but gamifies to the level that even using and building feels like a pleasure to do so, I love it when progress is addicting to do so, and when the user fails to do the task in the assigned time, it throws the user to the penalty screen and locks the whole app and reminds the goal, approximate number of weeks left in their lifetime, and a motivating quote which would give them clarity on why this goal is really important. Overall, it builds the accountability and makes progress fun.
How we built it
I used the hackathon's resources to brainstorm, plan, build requirements and ultimately build the application using HTML, CSS and JS. After that, I pushed the code to Github and hosted in Vercel. Then, I opened the URL of the hosted application and installed it in my mobile.
Challenges we ran into
- The first version of the application built isn't that impressive and it needed some feedback to make it better.
- The sprites aren't really great as expected.
- The canvas is still not as I imagined it to be, which really takes a lot of effort and time to do so. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of
- I'm finally able to build what I always wanted to build from more than a year.
- I'm using it daily and suggested my friends to use it, and they're really enjoying and sharing my app.
- I understood the functions and how the logics are working underneath the application. ## What we learned
- I understood the tech stack.
- The functions in the javascript are making sense after trying to build along with the claude.
- The flow of flipped interaction and how it boosts my creativity while automating the general tasks. ## What's next for Questify I want to build an proper Android Native Application of this project, make it more smoother and gamified. Then, I want this to be accessible by anyone who wants to improve their life and build good habits they always wanted to!
