🎯 Inspiration

Job hunting can be an overwhelming experience. Last year, I found myself juggling job applications across various tools like Notes and Google Sheets, which quickly became chaotic and disorganized. This frustration motivated me to create Quester—a side project that turned into a powerful app. Quester is designed to streamline every aspect of the job application process, from tracking salaries and interviews to efficiently managing shared documents, making the journey smoother and more organized.

🚀 What It Does

Quester is your all-in-one job application tracker, beautifully designed to keep you organized and focused. Add job applications with details like salaries, documents, and interviews. Schedule and track interviews, add feedback and personal notes, and even status "Ghosted" applications for a clear overview of your progress. Stay up-to-date with home and lock screen widgets for quick access to recent applications and offers.

🛠️ How We Built It

Quester was born from weekend brainstorming sessions with a friend and late-night coding after my 9-to-5 job. As the developer, I tackled the technical challenges, while we both worked on designing an app that’s not just functional, but also delightful to use.

⚠️ Challenges We Ran Into

SwiftData was new territory for me. While it's user-friendly, I encountered issues that required time and patience to resolve. Transitioning from the Combine framework to Swift Concurrency also presented a learning curve, but it was a rewarding experience that broadened my skills.
