We wanted to build an app to connect your car to an API. If you wanted to quest that day or go out you could choose a quest such as a sporting event, and if your car pinged the API with the location at the event you would get a prize/ coupon or find a special gift at the end of the quest. The motivation was allowing people to get out and see things around them they may not have found. Also a way for events to get more people to attend.
