Inspiration
If you have ever lost a child, even for a short moment, you have likely experienced that terrifying feeling of extreme panic. Children can get confused and subsequently lost very easily in crowded public places, where they may be unfamiliar with their surroundings. A situation where a child has gotten lost requires immediate action, as the child is at a higher risk for abduction, accident or injury when separated from a parent or caretaker. This crowdsourced app is here to solve the problem!
What it does
Quest is a unique app that uses Facial recognition to recognize a lost child from a database of community-curated lost children and lets you contact his/her guardian. If a child is not found in the database, he/she is automatically added and the authorities are informed.
Where can Quest be used?
From concerts to amusement parks, Quest can be used practically anywhere! Children can be added to the database beforehand and can be easily reunited with their parents with the help of fellow attendees. This app can also be used by authorities to help communities identify lost children quickly.
