Inspiration

As a solo founder building tech products full-time, I’ve experienced firsthand how difficult it is to stay consistent without external structure. With no boss, deadlines, or team standups, it's easy to lose focus or spiral into burnout. I wanted a companion, something intelligent, warm, and non-judgmental, that could guide me back when I drift. That desire gave birth to QubeAI : an AI-powered accountability partner designed for people like me, trying to do hard things alone.

What it does

QubeAI is your AI-powered daily productivity partner. Our first assistant, Neo, acts like a friendly mentor who:

  1. Talks to you over video (powered by Tavus & Daily.co)

  2. Understands your personal context, goals, and struggles

  3. Lets you input context using your voice (via ElevenLabs)

  4. Keeps you accountable with human-like guidance

  5. Stores all your inputs using Supabase, so Neo remembers

From the moment you land, Neo welcomes you, asks for your story, and transforms that into meaningful conversations that help you stay focused each day.

How we built it

QubeAI was designed and built in under a week using a tightly integrated GenAI stack:

Bolt – To rapidly scaffold the app with authentication, routing, UI, and backend.

Tavus + Daily.co – For creating personalized video rooms where Neo speaks to the user.

ElevenLabs – Enables voice-based context input and persona greetings.

Supabase – Secure storage for context, journal entries, and goal tracking.

Netlify – Deployment with fast CDN-backed global hosting.

Every part of the app is designed to make users feel like they’re talking to a human, without needing to manage multiple tools.

Challenges we ran into

Iframe & routing issues : Integrating Tavus via Daily’s iframe required custom logic for embedding and deep linking to meeting rooms.

Voice playback delays : Initial voice guidance had noticeable lag; syncing ElevenLabs audio with page load took work.

Layout bugs : Handling text overflow and responsiveness for mobile required multiple iterations.

Time constraints : Pulling this off solo in a few days meant prioritising essentials without breaking UX.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a fully functional AI video assistant from scratch, solo, in under 2 weeks.

Seamlessly integrated 4 external platforms (Tavus, ElevenLabs, Supabase, Netlify).

Created a voice-first experience that doesn’t feel robotic or cold.

Designed an interface and assistant that feels personal, not corporate.

Got the platform live at qubeai.chat with working AI flows (Currently running on the default Netlify slug, qubeai.chat domain will take a few days to get live).

What we learned

Voice and video create powerful emotional UX - Even simple audio guidance dramatically improves engagement.

Tooling matters - Bolt's one-prompt start combined with the power of Supabase and ElevenLabs made it possible to deliver fast.

The pain I’m solving is real - Testing with friends and peers showed how much people crave structure without pressure.

What's next for QubeAI

QubeAI is just getting started. Here’s what’s coming:

  1. Daily goal tracking with voice-based journal reflections

  2. Smarter conversation memory using embeddings

  3. Multiple assistant personas: a coach, a friend, a therapist

  4. Catering to the needs of students preparing for some of the toughest competitive exams, by organising their daily prep goals, thereby reducing a lot of pressure off them.

  5. Tavus video cloning to let Neo look like you

  6. Mobile-first redesign + productivity nudges

  7. Open to early users & partnerships via qubeai.chat
