Inspiration

People started spending less time exercising and more time sitting in front of a desk because of quarantine. We thought that we could develop something that helps people to exercise. At first, we came out with numerous ideas like talent donation social networks, online virtual gym sessions, but there was one idea that we thought we can impress people at first glance. This is why we built Quarantine Yoga to assist people in doing yoga to keep healthy during the quarantine.

What it does

It tracks the user's body and matches to get an accuracy of the targeted yoga pose. Once the user gets the accuracy of the pose, the app displays the accuracy with cheerful messages. After the progress bar reached 100%, the user goes back to the list of yoga poses. People can use our app to do yoga easily and efficiently because Quarantine Yoga enables users to check if they are doing the correct yoga posture with the help of their camera.

How I built it

We built Quarantine Yoga mainly with Flutter and Dart with various dependencies such as percent_indicator, image_picker, tflite for a cross-platform app. The machine learning logic is built with TensorFlow using Flutter Real-time Detection. And we used Firebase to register and login

Challenges I ran into

A lot of debugging. Since I had only my phone for debugging, it was a lot of work.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We learned about how to implement TensorFlow and how to train it. And we have built what we planned in the beginning

What I learned

A deeper knowledge of Flutter and Dart. And Machine learning techniques for TensorFlow and Flutter Realtime detection.

What's next for QuarantineYoga

We plan to make it online so that users can have fun with friends and meet new people.
