Inspiration
We were inspired by 60 Seconds, a video game about surviving nuclear fallout.
What it does
It is a text based survival game, and you help two characters, Perone and Twoson, survive through many situations and through quarantine.
How we built it
We built the code using C++ through Visual Studio Code. We collaborated through liveshare, an extension in VS Code.
Challenges we ran into
Coming up with random events for outside and inside scenarios, creating our stats system, and uploading our code from VS code to Github.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is the longest non-stop project we have ever done (8am to 7 pm), this our longest project lines of code wise with 1151 lines of code, and the fact that it works.
What we learned
We learned that coding for 11 hours is quite the task, but also very rewarding in the end to see the product finished. We also learned that hackathons are very tough.
What's next for Quarantine Survival: We would want to add a timer for how long you can stay in the shop, as well as adding more scenarios/events to going outside and inside.
