Inspiration
Since the beginning of COVID, everyone has been stuck inside their homes and have been bored. We decided to create an app that can make it much more enjoyable and you can have a little fun while you're stuck at home or isolating
What it does
Our app has Entertainment, Food, current covid cases and worldwide emergency calling features that everyone is able to easily use.
Challenges I ran into
Some of the challenges we faced were, some of us were new to Javascript and node.js. This resulted in us being confused about how to route the files and how to run the server. Another challenge we faced was with React.js. This was another new concept for us, so we had to figure out how everything ran.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We were proud of being able to finish our app within the 36 hours given to us. We were also very proud of being able to learn and incorporate the new languages that we had just learned into our project. Some of these languages include Docker, React as well as Node.js
What I learned
From this hackathon, we learned a lot more about each coding language. We got to explore the languages we knew as well as learn a few new ones from the workshops.
