Inspiration!
While the lock down is mostly successful to stop the spread of the corona virus, some people just wanna be rebels. Our goal is to help the government do it's job easier and faster so we go back to our normal life as soon as possible. it's getting lonely out here, i miss my friend.
What it does?
Our plan is to give a wristband to the patient to wear it for 14 days, tracking location, and some symptoms of Covid-19, which will be updated in the mobile application of the patient and the website of the authorities.
How we built it ?
We used our already acquired knowledge in Android Studio to create a suitable environment for the quarantined people. The app isn't restricted to the reading of the sensors provided by the gadget, but also take it to analyze the data and provide other manners of help to diagnose their medical condition.
Challenges we ran into ?
The biggest challenge in creating this app proved to be the distance between our team members, since the online working experience is still entirely new, which poses difficulty concerning synchronization between members and organization of the different parts of the project. The coding part is already hard enough as well since we are mostly self-learning Java and Android SDK, but our current proficiency in other languages makes the learning curve more gentle.
Accomplishments that we're proud of !
I'm proud i've improved my infos about the current covid-19 situation, as well as coding skills, and general knowledge about sensors. We are so excited we might get a chance to reduce the pandemic effect and help our countries.
What we learned ?
In these brief 3 days, life was only about this project. 14 hours at least for each team member everyday. Constantly working to develop our project as good as we can in those days. My skills with java and android studio skyrocketed. I have even re-studied my logic circuit courses and electronics to have a better understanding of what i'm doing. And whether we win or not, i'm proud of the work we did.
What is next ?
For the future we want to develop the project to finalize it, and communicating with multiple authorities in different countries to adopt the project and a team to build the wristbands, since we're all electrical engineers student we can help. We're going to design a website for the authorities to control and use.
