Inspiration

This idea came from my own experience. At my university, the elevator kept stopping on floors where no one was waiting because people pressed the button and left. Using quantum computing and VideoDB, we can fix this problem easily.

What It Does

QuantumLift lets you play with quantum gates (like Hadamard and CNOT) to see how quantum bits behave. It combines this fun learning tool with a system that helps manage elevator calls smarter, inspired by quantum ideas.

Why It’s Unique

Instead of just stopping at every floor where a button is pressed, QuantumLift uses a smart system that guesses if someone is really waiting. It tracks how likely a person is there and uses quantum computing ideas to find the best path for the elevator. Calls stay “open” like a quantum state until the person arrives or leaves, so the elevator doesn’t stop unnecessarily. This approach can save time, energy, and make elevator rides smoother.

Real-World Impact

This system saves time and power by canceling elevator calls if no one is detected nearby. So, the elevator won’t stop for empty floors. Combining VideoDB’s smart detection with quantum computing’s powerful planning reduces waiting and frustration.
