The prompt and Justins love of the navy

What it does

It uses The Elitzur-Vaidman Bomb Tester to find the positions of enemy ships in the board game "Battleship" without directly interacting with them. This way you can find all the enemy ships without firing a single shot.

How we built it

We used qiskit and python to define a battleship quantum circuit with 20 qubits. One per row and one per column. We thought we could be able to deduce from this where each ship was but that is highly unlikely. We think it could take 100 qubits. one per spot. But that is incredibly long ot simualte classical and not possible with current quantum hardware to do accuratly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

that we made a project and are submitting something

What we learned
