Inspiration
After attending a few workshops at Carolina Quantum Hacks 2024
What it does
It's a normal game of Minesweeper, but with quantum mines! The mines are in a superposition between a mine and not a mine, so if you click on it, it measures the superposition, meaning that you have a 50% chance of the mine detonating and ending your game.
How we built it
We built it using Python
Challenges we ran into
Implementing a half chance and making sure that the mine count and the flag count were updated in case one of the mines did not detonate.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting the half-chance detonation right
What we learned
We learned how to work together as a team, make a workable game in Python, and implement probabilistic detonation into game functions
What's next for Quantum Minesweeper
Possibly add quantum flags, a power up where you can flag a random square around a normal flag, and that can defuse both mines, making it easier for you
