Inspiration
A dynamic game which reacts to the players actions. Using modern Quantum random number generation for true randomness.
What it does
A board game which automatically controls the player characters to to give them more life. Including random events to give the game a chaotic feel.
How we built it
Sensors and Actors make up the player character. They are controlled via MQTT. A small server instance controlls the characters and keeps track of the game state.
Challenges we ran into
Combining many sensors and actors in a tiny space. Controlling these via software while also keeping track of their state.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Connecting the fully remote player characters and controlling their actions remotely.
What we learned
We gained a lot of on hands experience with hardware components and learnt how to connect them to a wireless software system.
What's next for Quantum Board
Developing further minigames, hazards, events. Polish the player characters and board. Expand on the games complexity.
