Challenge
The challenge was to find a single bitstring that appears with high probability within in a pre-construted special quantum circuit called a Peaked Circuit.
What it does
We find the most peaked bit string that appears within the quantum circuit.
How we built it
Used qiskit and BlueQubit's platform which has access to a quantum computer.
Challenges we ran into
The first time we hit a wall because there was too many circuit elements. From problem 4 onwards, running the quantum circuit on a quantum computer was complex, and running it classically was too many quibits for it to handle.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We managed to complete the first 3 problems, and we were able to almost fully discover our own unique method/approach towards solving this problem by reverse engineering the peaked quantum circuit which was not the original intention of this challenge. Implementing the paper and our own strategies to simplify the circuit.
What we learned
We can possibly look into this new creative approach in the future as a possible way to solve peaked quantum circuits. We learned how to create own own peaked quantum ciruits, we may be able to find a way to reverse engineer them.
What's next for Quaking Cows - BlueQubit
Collaborate with BlueQubit to make a machine learning model that could reverse engineer peaked circuits in order to find the most probable bitstring.
