Inspiration
We were inspired by Goodnotes and various AI models to create a centralized place to keep all of your study materials
What it does
It allows you to create and store notes manually and with an OpenAI model, as well as generate quizzes to help you study
How we built it
We used Python and Javascript for the Backend with MongoDB hosting the database on AWS, paired with HTML/CSS Frontend
Challenges we ran into
Having no experience working with a database or creating user-specific data, we had significant challenges working with making the functionality of the website actually succesful
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our Frontend looks promising and, with some improvements, could look quite appeasing as a notes storage app
What we learned
New languages(JavaScript), how to work with a database, better programming flow and architecture, managing secret keys, and working with a team on a large project
What's next for Quackademic Notes
Even though it doesn't quite work now, we will continue to work on Quackademic Notes so that it can work and people can use it to store notes
