Inspiration

Due to Covid 19 Museums and many tourist spots have been closed to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. What if we can preserve the country’s heritage through an online platform?

This question leads us to the “Qrate App”, through this app we aim to maintain our heritage by providing an online platform for the users to view and learn about various historic relics, paintings, and sculptures of the nation.

For those who love art, sending an antique or a painting can be a unique and useful valentine gift.

Along with that, we aim to provide financial/ economical support to the government-funded Museums and art galleries by providing online auctioning/ sales of artworks and sculptures.

Usually, most of the museums get economic support by means of auctioning but due to the COVID crisis this has not possible lately, but “Qrate App” provides us this facility

What it does

The app focuses on the following issues

1) Auctioning and biding of ancient relics and artworks post-COVID 19, with the aim to prevent the spread of virus due to public gathering

2) Providing economic support to the government through online tourism and trade of historic heritage during the pandemic situation

3) Post Covid-19 functioning of museums and art gallery organization

4) Maintaining and preserving the knowledge of cultural/ historic relics of the country by spreading awareness through an online platform

5) Providing safe and trustable delivery and payment through government-guaranteed portals and delivery service

How we built it

Currently, we have made the app designs and are looking forward to implementing the application with flutter, and cloud services like Firebase, AWS.

Challenges we ran into

Having to learn a new design implementation tool Figma, and trying to make it a valentines day edition

Learned new domain: UiUx designing and thinking of implementing the designs to an end to end applications

What we learned

Learned to understand the importance of heritage and artifacts of a country, research about how much the nation can benefit by implementing online auctioning of artifacts, and paintings.
