Inspiration

Currently, there is a way to check the attendance in Racó. But, as there is no Racó app for mobile phones, sometimes it is not user friendly. We wanted to change that and to automate the process of the attendance data, as well as automate the way to notify a positive case and the actions taken by that.

What it does

This app solves the problem of finding the in-campus close contacts of a positive COVID-19 case. This is done with an intuitive and user friendly interface that reduces to a minimum the amount of interaction the user has to do. This way we reduce the chances of human error throughout the process.

How we built it

Frontend with Android, Backend with GO and MongoDB.

Challenges we ran into

Creating the Android app, integrating the Android app with the backend, learning GO to create the backend.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The app works and could be used right now in the Campus to track COVID19 cases.

What we learned

We gathered more experience working in teams, we learned how to plan and create a project in a short amount of time, and we learned different technologies to create it.

What's next for QR Tracking

We will implement more functionalities in our application to try to automate more work.
