Inspiration

The need for quick and accurate medical data sharing in emergencies inspired us to create a streamlined solution for patients, specialized doctors, and urgency doctors.

What it does

QR Breathe enables patients and specialized doctors to input health data, generating a QR code. Urgency doctors scan the QR to access patient data, input acute symptoms, and trigger a diagnostic-therapeutic algorithm.

How we built it

We used Python Fastapi, HTML, and CSS for integrated QR code generation and scanning libraries, and implemented an algorithm for diagnostic and therapeutic guidance.

Challenges we ran into

We mainly faced contextual algorithmic issues rather than technical problems.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Developing a seamless QR-based workflow and creating a tool that can potentially save lives in critical situations.

What we learned

The importance of intuitive interfaces in healthcare apps and the complexities of integrating medical algorithms into user-friendly platforms.

What's next for QR Breathe

The QR Breathe project not only limits to respiratory diseases, but can be expanded to other medical diseases. Future expansion: developing the QR Health (instead of QR Breathe) application that provides general medical solutions for patients with known medical history.
