Qpay.aero solution is related the Challenge #2, and is solving several issues, such as accelerating the revenue streams to the airlines, improving the customer experience and cost transparency, as well as allowing the airlines to keep cancelation fees.

Your solution and what it does:

Qpay.aero is a quick book and instant pay tool for air cargo shipments. It integrates the variable payment methods and gateways (Stripe API used for the POC), utilizes ONE Record for Organizations and persons management. You can: Search -> Book - > Pay using Qatar Airways API into ONE Record Logistics object with all required details. Customers have an option to top up the balance in advance or while making the booking.

How did you build it?

We used AWS NE:ONE server, PHP, Angular, Symphony, build API between Qatar Airways Cargo, ONE Record and Stripe payment gateway

Tool features:

  • User registration and validation
  • Creation at OneRecord Server: Organization and Person once user verified
  • Auto link with Stripe payments and Balances
  • Search for the flight on Qatar API
  • Book with payment or Book from Balance
  • Once booking is done - it's created as ONE Record: Waybill, WaybillLineItem with Rate Info, Piece, Shipment, Transport, TransportMovement, LoadActivity

Connected to Stripe API:

  • Register user
  • Work with User Balance
  • Create invoice / submit payment

Connected to Qatar API:

  • Search Flight
  • Get AWB Stock
  • Create Booking

Qpay is providing the opportunity to change the entire payment approach of the cargo industry, improve customer experience and allow finally make a book and pay process in air cargo as simple as the passenger bookings, embracing the adoption of ONE Record and ease of data sharing
