Inspiration

This game was inspired by a mini-game from Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training for the Nintendo Switch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCWJT5m3oto). I saw footage of this being played but I don't own a Switch so why not code it.

What it does

The game generates a random amount of cubes each round. After a few seconds they disappear and you have to guess the count.

How we built it

Built with Swift and SwiftUI.

Challenges we ran into

Allegedly it is not encouraged to override volume buttons for our own functionality 😳. I ran into some issues with compatibility on iPhone vs iPad. Ultimately it works majority of the time on iPhone which is good.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It works and it doesn't crash anymore :)

What we learned

Animation, state management, a bit of AVFoundation.

What's next for Qount

Hopefully some game statistics, local multiplayer, sound effects, and more challenging puzzles.
