Inspiration

We often rely on random suggestions for food, travel, or entertainment—missing out on what actually matches our unique taste. We wanted to change that. QlooVerse was born from a simple idea: What if your social feed truly understood what you love?
A platform where recommendations aren't generic, but deeply personal and AI-curated — powered by your preferences and community insights.

What it does

QlooVerse is an AI-powered social discovery network that helps users find personalized recommendations across food, travel, experiences, and entertainment.
Users can post suggestions, explore curated trends, and get real-time, intelligent recommendations based on their behavior, mood, and community tastes — all within a vibrant, interactive platform.

How we built it

We built QlooVerse using the MERN stack — MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js — for a scalable web platform.
We integrated the Qloo Taste Intelligence API for personalized discovery and used Gemini LLM to analyze and enhance user-generated content and recommendations.
Our focus was on:

Challenges we ran into

Building a truly personalized recommendation engine that feels social yet smart was tough.
